Double Chocolate Brownies

Introduction

These low-calorie, low-fat brownies will satisfy any chocolate craving, any time! These low-calorie, low-fat brownies will satisfy any chocolate craving, any time!
Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    Nonstick cooking spray
    4 tablespoons butter
    2/3 cup granulated sugar
    1/2 cup cold water
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 cup all-purpose flour
    1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1/4 cup mini semisweet chocolate pieces
    2 teaspoon powdered sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Coat the bottom of a 9-x-9-inch baking pan with nonstick spray. In a medium saucepan, melt butter; remove from heat. Stir in sugar, water, and vanilla. Mix in flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder until combined. Add chocolate pieces. Pour batter into pan; bake for 15 to 18 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

    These are good. I will definately make them again; however I think they are more like chocolate bread than brownies. They are great for a chocolate craving when you are dieting. - 6/15/12

    I love these, they are very brownie-ish. I wasn't sure what all purpose flour was so I used plain flour. As my oven is in C rather than F I may have cooked them on a lower temp. I would do a double mix next time to make them deeper. Also be sure to sieve the flour, etc. - 7/1/12
