Baked Tortellini Casserole

Ingredients

    Tortellini, pasta with cheese filling, 2 cup (remove)
    Mozzarella Cheese, part skim milk, 2 oz (remove)
    Bread crumbs, dry, grated, plain, .5 cup (remove)
    Peas, frozen, 0.5 cup (remove)
    Onions, raw, .5 cup, chopped (remove)
    Green Peppers (bell peppers), 0.5 cup, chopped (remove)
    *Italian Seasoning, 5th Season - 1 tsp, 2 serving (remove)
    *Barilla Tomato & Basil Sauce, 0.5 cup (remove)
    *Barilla Tomato & Basil Sauce, 0.5 cup (remove)
    Butter, unsalted, 1 tbsp (remove)
    Garlic, 1 clove (remove)

Directions

1. Cook tortellini according to package directions until al dente. I boiled my frozen tortellini for about 5 minutes until soft, but not too tender; drain off pasta water.
2. In the meantime, add butter and garlic to saute pan over medium heat. Add onion and pepper and cook until softened and slightly browned. Add peas and combine.
3. Add pasta sauce and vegetable mixture to cooked tortellini and gently mix until coated.
4. Transfer tortellini mixture to lightly greased baking dish and top with shredded mozzarella cheese, breadcrumbs, and Italian seasonings.
5. Bake at 350* for 30 minutes. Serves 3.
