Nourishing Traditions Oat Porridge

Ingredients

1 c water
1 c oats
2T buttermilk or whey
1 c water + 1/2 t - 1 t sea salt
1/3 c raisins
3 T shredded coconut
1 T brown sugar
1/2 c milk
Directions
1. Put oats,1 c water and 2 T whey or buttermilk in a shallow dish. Cover and let sit at warm temperature over night.
2. Boil 1 c water and sea salt.
3. Add raisins. Boil 2 minutes.
4. Turn heat down to medium and add oat mixture. Cook 5 minutes.
5. Add coconut, brown sugar, butter and milk. Mix well and let sit for 5 minutes.
Serving Size: Makes 4 1c servings
