Banana Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Submitted by: WOOZKAT

Introduction

An ultra smooth and creamy "ice cream". It could be made without the chips or even add peanuts or walnuts if that sounds good. An ultra smooth and creamy "ice cream". It could be made without the chips or even add peanuts or walnuts if that sounds good.

Directions

The chocolate chips should be processed in the Cuisinart first until the desired size chocolate is achieved and removed and reserved for addition later.
Cut the frozen bananas into 1 inch pieces.
Process the banana pieces in a Cuisinart until the bananas look like really tiny pea pieces or a crumbly dough, approximately 3 minutes. During the processing, stop occasionally to scrape down sides of the bowl as necessary and add the stevia. Continue to process adding water slowly a Tbl at a time as needed to hold the mix together, stopping as necessary to check consistency.
It should be completely smooth, firm enough to hold its
shape when scooped, much like soft serve ice cream, and still very, very cold. Once it finally comes together uniformly, stop again, scrape down the sides to get every last bit together and add the chips. Process on "pulse" just a few more seconds to blend in the chips.
Remove the ice cream to another container and put in the freezer for about 15 minutes to stiffen it up just a bit more (if you can wait that long!) Otherwise, just enjoy it as soft-serve ice cream.

4, very generous 1/2 c servings
