4 c. quick oats (or 4.5 c. old fashioned oats) 1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts 1 c. packed brown sugar 3/4 c. melted butter or margarine 1/2 c. honey or corn syrup 1 t. vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350*. Combine all ingredients and mix well. Press firmly into well greased 15 x 10 jelly roll pan. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Cool thoroughly and cut into 24 bars. This is a very versatile recipe as you can exchange in other nuts or add dried fruits or seeds (may change nutritional values). Have fun with this one!
