Easy low fat, low sodium chicken soup

Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 6 oz. skinless chicken breast
    1/4 cup chopped onion
    1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
    8 oz. Frozen mixed vegetables
    3 oz. whole wheat elboe pasta
    1/8 tsp. Old Bay low sodium seasoning
    1 Bay leaf
    6 whole peppercorns
    1/2 tsp garlic powder
    1/2 tsp ground sage
    1/2 teaspoon Mrs. Dash
    1 packey Herb ox sodium free bouillon

Directions

Place chicken, seasonings, onions and peppers in a sauce pot, cover with 6 cups water and bring to a boil.
After 5 minutes reduce heat to a simmer and cover to poach 45 minutes.
Cook pasta according to package directions and set aside.
When chicken is tender remove from pot and set aside. Shred with a fork.
Return pot to a boil and add frozen vegetables, boil 5 minutes.
Add cokked pasta and shredded chicken , reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes longer.

Makes 4 servings.
