Introduction

This is a tangy, semi-sweet slaw. I served this topped over the turkey meat ball burger with chipotle mayo. HUBBY LOVED! This is a tangy, semi-sweet slaw. I served this topped over the turkey meat ball burger with chipotle mayo. HUBBY LOVED!
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 medium napa cabbage, shredded
    1/2 english cucumber with peel, chopped in small rectangles
    1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
    2 tablespoon sugar
    1 tablespoon splenda
    1/4 tablespoon honey
    2 tablespoon vegetable oil
    1 tsp toasted sesame oil
    1 tsp kosher salt
    1/2 tsp ground black pepper

Directions

Cook time is the setting time in fridge.

In a medium bowl, wisk all ingredients from cider vinegar down until all the sugar is disolved.

Add cabbage and cucumber, mix well then refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Serving Size: Makes 6 -8 servings

  • i loved it! Ate it along side the BBQ pulled pork (no bread) and it was awesome. I added slivered onion and next time i think i'll add some bell pepper. :) - 7/25/12

  • this was fantastic. I used purple cabbage, cukes, onion, celery and shredded carrot. The sauce was great. everyone loved it. I bought more things to make it again! - 1/30/12
