Rejuvenation Broth

Broth can be used as a base for soups and stews, or sip like a tea. It refreshes and heals the body. Have on hand after chemo treatments and especially during suppressed appetite. Ingredients

Carrots, raw, 6 medium (remove)
2 Onions, raw, 2 medium
1 Leeks, 1 leek
1 Bunch of Celery
2 Sweet Potato 5" long
Garlic, 6 cloves
1/2 Bunch Parsley
Black Peppercorn 1 Teaspoon
Whole Allspice 1/2 tsp
1 Kombu- 8-inch (dried seaweed)
2 Bay Leaf
8 Filter, Distilled or Spring Water
Salt to taste (after cooking)
Cheesecloth or Stainer
Spice Bag (optional)
Directions
Rinse all vegetables. including kombu. Chop the vegetables into size that will fit into 12 quart pot. Fill the pot with water about 2 inches from top or ream.
Bring to boil. Reduce heat and put lid on pot. Simmer for 2 hours. Possible vegetables will set above the water. that is okay. The vegetables will shrink while shimmering. Just make sure to stir periodically. As the vegetables cook water could evaporate add water as needed.
Turn off burner and let pot cool over burner. Once cool use strainer or cheesecloth to strain broth from pulp. You can discard pulp. Enjoy your broth.
Discarding pulp means you do not have peel any vegetable.
Consuming pulp I recommend placing bay leaf, black peppercorn and whole allspice into spice bag. Remove bag before straining.
