Diabetic Breakfast Smoothie

Introduction

I prepare this in the evening and blend it in the morning for a quick breakfast out the door. I just put the fruit & bran in the freezer and the rest in the fridge. Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    3/4 cup Fruit
    1/4 cup Bran flakes
    1/2 cup Ice cubes
    1/2 cup Skim milk
    1/2 cup Plain yogurt
    2 Packets of Equal
    1 tsp Vanilla
    1 Dash cinnamon (optional)
    1 Dash nutmeg (optional)

Directions

Prepare the night before. Combine fruit, bran & ice cubes and put in freezer. Combine the milk, yogurt, sweetener and vanillla and put in the refridgerator.

In the morning combine both the frozen items and refrigerated items in a blender or Magic Bullet. Add the cinnamon & nutmeg and blend until smooth.

Serving Size: makes 1 serving
