Ingredients

432 grams/1 lb Kala Chana, dry
3-4 cups water
pinch baking soda
4 T butter
2 t salt
2 t chili powder
1 t turmerick
1 t garam masala
2 t amchur powder
Directions
1) Slow cook chana, water and soda for 8 hours on low Drain off liquid.
2) In heated oil, add spices and cook one minute.
3) Return chana to mix, cooking (stir fry, paddle mixing) 5 minutes.
4) Serve with chapatis (or rice). Also a healthy snack as is.
Makes about 35 ounces. Serving size may vary with dehydration during stir-frying or cooling.
