Introduction

swedish recipe, calls for cream I used 1/2 and 1/2.
3tbs port. I left it out.used low sodium broth instead.
If you want it thicker mix 1 tbs butter w/3 tbs flour and whisk into sauce before cooking fish.

Ingredients

    1 Lb Tilapia fillet (500 gr)
    1/2 tsp cardamom (1/2 tsk)
    8 oz mushrooms stemmed and sliced (250 gr)
    1 cup herb ox broth or fish stock (2.5dl)
    .5cup -1 cup 1/2 and 1/2 (2.5 dl)
    1/2 tsp ground white pepper (1/2 tsk)
    1/2 tsp ground hungarian paprika (1/2tsk)
    1/2 cup grated parmezan or gruyere (1.25 dl)
    8 oz petit pois( Small green peas) (250 gr)
    3 sprigs of parsley

Directions

serves 5
Grease an oven proof dish,add the fish doubled up ,sprinkle with cardamom and paprika.
spray a frying pan with pam saute the mushrooms for a few minutes,add the bulion and cook the bulion down to about a 1/4 of a cup addthe 1/2 and 1/2 (add also the flour and butter mix if you are using it.)
let cook slowly for a few min. Add salt and pepper as needed. (also the port at this time).pour over the fish and add the grated cheese.bake in oven for 20 min.
At 475 degrees. (250 grader celcius)
Garnish with the warmed peas and fresh parsley.
You can also exchange the mushrooms for crab meat..
