Venison Taco Soup

Ingredients

    1 lb. Ground Venison
    1/2 c. onion diced
    3 tsp. Chili Powder
    1 tsp. Red Pepper Flakes
    1 tsp. Ground Cumin
    3 Cloves of Garlic diced
    1 14 oz. Can Tomato Sauce
    1 14 oz. Diced Tomatoes with Green Chilies
    3/4 c. Canned or Boiled and drained Kidney beans
    1 c. Frozen Corn
    1 small can diced green chilies
    1/2 c. Garbanzo beans drained and smashed
    2 c. Water

Directions

Brown Venison and onion over medium heat. Drain excess fat if necessary. Add spices and cook for 1 minute. Add tomato sauce, and cook an additional minute while stirring. Add diced tomatoes, kidney beans, and water and simmer for 10 minutes. Add corn. Chilies, and masked garbnanzo beans, and simmer for aother 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped cilantro, chips, cheese or sour cream. Calories not included for extras. Makes 6 1c. portions.
