    2 pears, peeled, cored, and sliced
    1/2 cup brown sugar, unpacked
    1 oz Scotch
    1/2 cup water


Saute pears in brown sugar until sugar turns syrupy. Add Scotch and water, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until pears are soft. Remove cover and cook until excess liquid is absorbed.

Serving Size: 8 servings as topping on 9 inch cake
