Definitive Ice Cream

Introduction

for homemade ice cream
add packet of hot chocolate mix for chocolate or additional mixes for favorite flavor

add packet of hot chocolate mix for chocolate or additional mixes for favorite flavor

Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    1 cup cream
    2 cups half & half
    1 cup sugar
    1 whole egg
    1 egg yolk
    1 tsp vanilla
    2 tbsp vodka

Directions

heat cream & half & half to 140 degrees. Mix whole egg, egg yolk and sugar. Slowly add heated cream until mixed in. Put mixture back into pan and heat to 160. Mix in vanilla. Refigerate overnight. Add vodka just before adding to ice cream maker. Follow manufactures instructions.

Add mix-ins like fruit, nuts, etc. last two minutes of mixing.

For hot chocolate flavor add a packet of hot chocolate to cream mix.
Try adding 2-3 tea bags of chi tea to cream and use brown sugar instead.
