Simple and easy slow cooker (crock pot) roast Simple and easy slow cooker (crock pot) roastNumber of Servings: 6
Ingredients
-
2 lb chuck roast
1 packet Ranch Dressing Mix
1 packet Brown Gravy Mix (less sodium)
1 packet italian dressing mix
1 cup of water
Directions
Place roast in crock pot
layer on the dry mixes on top of the roast in the following order:
packet Italian, packet ranch and packet brown gravy
Pour water AROUND the sides of the roast, being careful not to pour the water over the mixes.
Let this cook ALL DAY (8-10 hrs) on low in the crock pot.
Once the meat is tender take it out of the gravy that was created - mix a little flour and water together to make a roux and add to the gravy/meat drippings.
We normally serve it with crinkle cut carrots (frozen) and mashed potatoes - all covered in the gravy. A totally yummy twist on classic pot roast.
