Introduction

This I got from the biggest loser but I adapted because my family does not like ground turkey so I mixed it with lean ground beef. This I got from the biggest loser but I adapted because my family does not like ground turkey so I mixed it with lean ground beef.
Number of Servings: 14

Ingredients

    2.25 lbs extra lean ground beef
    1.25 lbs extra lean turkey
    1 cup raw onion
    2 cup tomoto sauce low sodium
    7 sweet bell peppers cut in half
    1/2 cup reduced fat mild cheddar cheese
    season with salt pepper
    olive oil cooking spray

Directions

Spray skillet with olive oil spray and saute onion in pan. Place ground meat mixture in pan and brown. Add 1/2 cup sauce to mixture and stir til combined. Scoop about 1/3 cup in each pepper and set aside. Cover. Bake at 400 degrees for 35 minutes. add about 2 tablespoon cheese and remove from oven and cover with foil to allow cheese to melt.

Serving Size: half pepper
