Introduction

My boyfriend's recipe, I can't stop eating it... on the plus side, it's pretty good for you! My boyfriend's recipe, I can't stop eating it... on the plus side, it's pretty good for you!
Number of Servings: 32

Ingredients

4 lbs extra lean ground beef (93/7)

    2 cans of tomato soup
4 cans of beans (we used kidney beans)
2 cans beef broth (we used low sodium)

    1 red onion, chopped
    2 bell peppers, chopped
    3 ribs of celery, chopped

    SPICES

Directions

Brown the meat in the pot on medium-high, draining the fat as desired. I was able to drain about 3/4 off.

Add the tomato soup and spices, rinsing out the cans with one of the cans of beef broth and adding that to the mix. Add the LIQUID from the beans. Add the celery and onion. Let it simmer for a few hours.

Add the beans, peppers and however much more beef broth you think you need. We only used an extra half can so it wouldn't be too thin.

Serve with your favorites (i.e. cornbread, cheese and sour cream)!
