Chicken Breast, no skin, 1.5 units
Lean Turkey Italian Sausage HOT, 5 serving
Ortega Diced Green Chiles, 7 oz
Water, tap, 2 cup (8 fl oz)
Beans, red kidney, 1 cup
Yellow Sweet Corn, Canned, 1 cup
Tomato products, Hunts Diced Tomatoes w/ Basil, Garlic, and Oregano, 3.5 serving
Onion powder, 1 tsp
Allspice, 1 tsp
Pepper, black, 1 dash
Cumin seed, .25 tsp
Place sausage links on bottom of pot.
Place chicken breast chunks in/around sausages.
Add water (2 cups).
Add Ortega diced chilies.
Add tomatoes with juices from can.
Add red kidney beans (drained).
Add corn (drained)
Season with Allspice, cumin, black pepper & onion powder.
Top off with a healthy dose of red pepper flakes.
Cover and set on High for about 5-ish hours.
Prior to serving, carefully remove the chicken chunks and the sausages from the pot, roughly chop as evenly as you can before returning to the pot and mixing in with other ingredients.
This serves as filler for burritos, tacos or the topping for a taco salad or chip type dish. The wrappings/lettuce/chips are not included in the nutritional calorie count information.
