Introduction

You can lower the amount of calories in this dish by using low fat cheese and/or changing the type of cheese used.

**NOTE: The serving size may be large, I haven't actually measured out the servings. This obviously factors into the calorie count

Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    4 cups macaroni
    6 cups shredded cheese (calories are with cheddar)
    4 cups hot water
    16 oz. cottage cheese
    4 tbsp, butter
    1/2 medium onion, chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    2 tsp. basil

Directions

Preheat oven to 375. I always grease the 13x9 pan with olive oil. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix it up. Pour into pan. Bake for 45 min. Turn oven off and leave in for 5 min.

Serving Size: Approx. 8 (1 cup) servings
