Apple Pie, Reduced sugar

Ingredients

    1Jiffy Pie Crust mix
    1/3 c. Flour
    1/3 tsp. Cinnamon
    1/3 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. Splenda Sugar Blend for Baking plus 2 tsp. for top
    8 c. Peeled Apple Slices
    2 T. Reduced fat margarine
    dash of salt

Directions

Prepare pie crust and place in pie dish. Mix apples, flour sugar and spices. Place in pie shell and cover with top crust, and make slits in crust. Bursh egg whites or milk on crust, sprinkle with additional sugar blend and place in 425 degree oven on lower shelf on preheated cookie sheet. Bake for 30 minutes and lower oven to 350. Bake for another 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Cover edges during baking to keep from over browning.

Serving Size: Makes 8 pieces of pie
