Simple bean burgers

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    Sunflower Seeds, without salt, .25 cup, hulled
    Beans, red kidney, 2 cup canned rinsed and drained or cooked
    Onions, raw, .5 cup, chopped
    *Ketchup, Heinz, 2 tbsp
    Kretschmer Wheat Germ (1 Tbsp)
    Chili powder, .5 tsp

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly oil a baking sheet.

Chop Sunflower seeds in food processor, set aside. Mash cooked or canned beans in food processor and mix with seeds. Mix in remaining ingredients and form into six patties. Place patties on baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool slightly until you can pick up and compress each patty firmly in your hands to re-form. Return patties to oven bottom side up and bake for another 10 minutes.
