IntroductionSlow cooker chicken breast, black beans, corn, tomatoes and Salsa Verde with rice. Slow cooker chicken breast, black beans, corn, tomatoes and Salsa Verde with rice.
Chicken Breast, no skin, 3 units
Beans, black, 2 cup
Yellow Sweet Corn, Canned, 1 cup
Tomato products, Hunts Diced Tomatoes w/ Basil, Garlic, and Oregano, 3.5 serving
La Victoria Thick'n Chunky Salsa Verde Medium, 30 tbsp
Allspice, 1 tsp
Onion powder, 1 tsp
Cumin seed, 1 tsp
Pepper, black, 2 dash
Water, tap, 1 cup (8 fl oz)
White Rice, long grain, 1 cup
Place chicken breasts in bottom of pot.
Sprinkle/season breasts with onion powder, cumin, Allspice and black pepper.
Drain and pour in black beans.
Pour in tomatoes with juices.
Drain and pour in corn.
Shake well and pour in Salsa Verde.
Cover and set on High for about 4 hours...
A short time (30-40 minutes prior to serving) add 1 cup water and 1 cup rice, mixing it in) - Alternately you could fix the rice traditionally in a separate pot, it is up to you.
