Introduction

Most people remember brussel sprouts boiled within an inch of their lives. They taste horrible, smell disgusting, and are the horror of children the world over. This method makes them not only palatable but darn tasty. Most people remember brussel sprouts boiled within an inch of their lives. Ingredients

    Olive Oil, 1 1tsp
Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia)
    Anchovy (anchovies), 3 anchovies
    Brussels sprouts, cooked, 200 grams
    Cabbage, fresh, 1 cup, chopped
    Garlic, 1 tsp

If you don't like anchovies, you can substitute a small handful of pancetta or bacon.
If you're not a fan of sprouts you can leave them out and just use cup of cabbage or another preferred vegetable to replace it such as broccoli or cauliflower.
To add a richer flavour, add a teaspoon of low salt beef or vegetable stock powder to the onions as they cook.

Directions

Cut the brussel sprouts in half, and slice the cabbage thinly.
Put the brussel sprouts in a steamer with the cabbage on top of it. Cook for approx. 5-10 minutes.
Whilst the greens cook, slice and saute the onions in the olive oil with the garlic slowly so as to avoid making them too brown. You want them to sweeten up slowly without caramelizing them too much. When they're translucent and a little golden, add three anchovies and allow them to cook in until they all but disappear. The taste will infuse without being too intense.
Take the cooked sprouts and cabbage out of the steamer, and toss it into the onion and garlic mixture to blend the flavors.
Serve straight from the pan and enjoy :)
