I made this recipe straight out of a book and it's more like a goulash than a soup, but it's very tasty! You can lighten it up by using turkey instead of beef and enhance the pasta experience by using whole wheat pasta! Ingredients

1 to 1.5 pounds of ground beef or turkey
1 10oz package of frozen mixed vegetables
1 28oz can of diced or crushed tomatoes, undrained
1 can of beef consumme or beef broth
1.5 cups of macaroni pasta- dry
water
salt/pepper/garlic to taste
(I also like a little cayenne pepper too!)
Directions
Brown meat and drain off grease. In a soup pot, combine all ingredients. Add water to make the soup a desired consistency- more water for soup, less water for more of a goulash. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and cook until pasta and vegetables are done!
