Creamy Slow Cooker Oatmeal with Walnuts

Introduction

Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 cup steel-cut oats
    3.5 cups water
    1/2 cup half and half or milk
    1 cup walnuts, toasted and chopped
    2 tsp ground cinnamon
    pinch salt
    sweetener of choice, if desired

Directions

Add all ingredients except walnuts to the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours or overnight.

Toast walnuts in a skillet on medium or in a 350-degree oven until fragrant (about 10 minutes). Let cool before chopping. Add 1/4 cup of walnuts to each serving.

Add sweetener of choice and enjoy!
