Slow Cooker Sausage and Green Pepper

Ingredients

5 links Italian sweet sausage 4 ounces each
1 medium green pepper, sliced
1/2 large onion, sliced
1 stalk celery, chopped
1 jar of Newman's Own Organic Marinara Sauce
Directions
Place sausages in large enough pan to cover with water. Bring to boil and simmer for five minutes. Drain water, remove casings from sausages once they're cool enough to hold. Place in vegetable sprayed crock pot.
Slice green pepper, onion and chop celery. Add to crock pot on top of sausage. Empty jar of marinara on top. I like to clean out the jar with a small amount of water and add that to the crock pot. Set on low and cook for six hours. I like to remove the sausages, slice them into bite-sized pieces and return them to the crock pot. Serve on top of rice or on split hoagie buns (nutrition not included for these). Serves 5.
