Homemade Split Pea and Turkey Soup

Introduction

Good way to use the turkey carcass and meat from your Christmas/Thanksgiving dinner! Good way to use the turkey carcass and meat from your Christmas/Thanksgiving dinner!
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    7 cups homemade turkey stock
    5 cups water
    2 cups split peas
    3/4 cup chopped onion
    3/4 cup chopped carrot
    1/2 cup diced celery
    1/2 tsp garlic powder
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 cups diced turkey breast meat

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a large slow cooker. Cook on low for 8-10 hours, until peas are soft or on High for 4-6 hours.

Makes 10 (1 cup) servings.
