Pork and Sauerkraut-Nana's Recipe

Submitted by: SISSYFEB48

Introduction

This is an old family favorite. Here I used cooked pork from a leftover roast. Can use uncooked cubed pork, just brown it first. This is an old family favorite. Here I used cooked pork from a leftover roast. Can use uncooked cubed pork, just brown it first.
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    2 lbs lean cooked pork
1 large jar Bick's Wine Sauerkraut, drained
    2 cups light sour cream

Directions

Heat oven to 225 degrees
If using raw pork, brown it well. Put one layer of cubed pork in a greased casserole dish with a lid. Add half the sauerkraut. Add half the sour cream. Repeat. Cover and bake at 225 for 3 to 5 hours.
Mom likes this with mashed potatoes, peas and cranberry sauce. I like it with potato pancakes and applesauce. Either is a hit.
