Ingredients

    1 box devils food cake mix (pudding in the mix variety) DRY
    1 can sugar free cherry pie filling (21 oz size- 35cal per serving)
    1/2 cup water
    1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (semi sweet)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350, and lightly spray 2 muffin pans with cooking spray.

Dump cake mix into a medium/large sized mixing bowl.

Add cherry pie filling and water.

Stir with a large spoon until thoroughly mixed. (Mixture will become somewhat spongy, and will be very thick. You do not need to add eggs or oil! Do not mix with mixer, or you will destroy the cherries.)

Add chocolate chips and stir in well to evenly distribute.

Drop batter by large tablespoon fulls into 2 12 cavity muffin pans that have been lightly sprayed with cooking spray. (cavities should be just over 1/2 full- if there is extra batter, distribute it evenly between pan cavities until all is used)

Bake for about 20 minutes, or until done (muffins will pull back SLIGHTLY from pan edges when done. Do not over bake)
