My Pecan Pie

Introduction

This is my adaptation of my mom's pecan pie recipe. It is lower in calories, carbs and fat but just as tasty. This is my adaptation of my mom's pecan pie recipe. It is lower in calories, carbs and fat but just as tasty.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 cups Maple Grove Farms Sugar Free syrup
    1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
    1 unbaked 8-inch pie shell
    3 Tbsp. I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Light
    cup Splenda for baking
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    tsp. salt
    6 large egg whites, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions

Bring syrup to a boil in a 1 quart saucepan; boil gently, uncovered, for 8 minutes. Cool about 15 minutes. Sprinkle nuts in pie shell. Cream I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Light; blend in Splenda for baking, flour and salt. Add egg whitess, syrup and vanilla; mix well. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 375* for 40-45 minutes or until pie is browned. Cool. Garnish with Cool Whip, if desired.
