I don't know - I think I'd rather put the pear slices o the melba toast then the cheese on top - then into the broiler. Tomato or pineapple on top of the cheese I'd understand, but most every thing else, like apple - onion - egg - ham, I'd rather have underneath with the cheese melting down over it. - 11/10/11
