Sopapilla Cheesecake

Ingredients

    4 cans crescent rolls
    4 8oz packages cream cheese, softened
    2 cups sugar
    2 tsp vanilla extract
    2 sticks butter, melted
    1 cup sugar mixed with 2 tbsp cinnamon

Tips

You can cut this recipe in half and make it in a 9x13 pan for smaller crowds. This is by no means healthy, but could be made healthier by using lower fat ingredients and splenda.


Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Do not grease pan as it will make your crescent dough slide around too much while spreading. Lay two cans of crescent dough on bottom of 18"x32" inch bar pan. Lightly pinch together the seams. Beat together cream cheese, 2 cups sugar and vanilla. Spread mixture over crescent rolls and top with last two cans of rolls, again pinching together seams. Pour melted butter on top and sprinkle with cinnamon/sugar mixture. Bake for 35 minutes.

Serving Size: makes 32 2" pieces
