I stumbled upon this combination of ingredients accidentally, but discovered it replicated the salsa verde I love very well. Quick and easy. I stumbled upon this combination of ingredients accidentally, but discovered it replicated the salsa verde I love very well. Quick and easy.
Number of Servings: 24

Ingredients

    1 large can tomatillos, drained
    1 4-oz can mild diced chiles
    1/2 bunch cilantro (aka fresh coriander leaves)
    1/4 medium onion, chopped
    6 slices canned jalapeno (or to taste)
    salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Put everything in the food processor and process until smooth. Makes approximately three cups of medium-hot salsa verde. Salsa will separate after a day or so in the fridge, but recombines easily with a little stirring.
