Ketchup, Condiment Queen style

Introduction

Number of Servings: 50

Ingredients

    • 3-14.5 oz. cans no-salt diced tomatoes
    • ½-cup stevia
    • ½-cup apple cider vinegar
    • 1 apple, cored and chopped
    • 1 onion, peeled and diced
    • 12 baby carrots
    • 1-tablespoon minced garlic
    • Ό-teaspoon allspice
    • Ό-teaspoon cloves
    • Ό-teaspoon cinnamon
    • Ό-teaspoon turmeric
    • 1 star anise flower pods
    • 1-teaspoon fennel seeds
    • 1-teaspoon hot sauce
    • 1-teaspoon seasoned salt

Tips

Use this homemade ketchup recipe as a main ingredient in barbeque sauce or 1000 Island Dressing.


Directions

Combine ingredients, cover and simmer on low for 60 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Blend in a food processor and strain into a bowl to remove seeds and pulp.
Store in a covered container in the fridge.

Serving Size: Makes 1 large bottle or jar.
