Apple Carrot Smoothie

Introduction

I drink this to get in all my fruits and veggies. I like it for breakfast. Drink with a straw, when the pulp gets too thick to drink, eat with a spoon, like applesauce. Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

    1 cup ice
    1 cup organic unsweetened (cloudy) apple juice
    1 organic apple (I like Granny Smith), cut into sections off the core.
    1 Cup organic carrots, chopped
    1 rib celery, chopped
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (preferrably Cassia cinnamon)

Tips

Drink with a straw until the pulp gets too thick, then eat pulp. Don't strain, as you will miss out on the fiber. Eat with egg white and piece of toast in morning for a balanced meal.


Directions

Add all ingredients to blender, pulse for a few minutes, then leave to blend. Add water if having trouble blending.

Serving Size: Depending on how things blend - approx. 2 8 ox servings
