4 bell peppers
1 lb ground beef
1 cup brown rice -- cooked
1/4 cup cheddar cheese (optional!)
1 tsp worchestershire
1 clove garlic
2 tsp italian seasoning
2 8 oz cans of Tomato Sauce
**optional -- blanch/steam green peppers
**optional -- cook onions and garlic with ground beef.
I used a bit more seasoning than the 'standard' recipe -- pepper on the ground beef and red pepper flakes in the whole mix. It turned out great!
Cut tops off of green peppers and place in baking pan
Mix all ingredients except 1/2 tomato sauce and 1/2 Italian seasoning in a bowl, stuff into peppers
Mix remaining tomato sauce and italian seasoning, pour over top of peppers
Bake for 1 hour at 350, basting every 15 min if needed.
Add cheese last 15 min if using
Serving Size: 1/2 pepper
