Shrimp and Collard Greens By Drea

Submitted by: LOSINGDREA

Introduction

Okay so I never heard of it before but I was hungry at just after 6am because I just got off work and I have to eat because starving myself has proved to not be working for me. Collard greens are very low in calories and carbs per serving and I thought why the heck not. I had 3-3oz servings of pre-cooked shrimp that was frozen and I figured this was easy and all of it, the whole can of greens and all 3 servings of shrimp is under 300 Calories, has only 3grams of fat, 7 Carbs, a whopping 58grams of Protein and 7grams of Fiber to boot! It makes a huge portion for one and I am hoping after I eat it I the greens go right through me! I want to lose allot of weight between now and my next weigh in on New Years Day 2012! Not just that but it only took about 5 minutes to prepare and cook! Ingredients

1 Whole 14.5 oz Can Great Value collard greens (3.5 serv)

9oz (.75 of the whole bag) Royal Tiger Shrimp - Frozen, Cooked Peeled No Tails (3oz Per Serving), 3 serving

1/4 tsp Mrs Dash garlic & herb seasoning for flavor

Tips

It could have used salt but I did not want any.

Directions

Put shrimp n warm water to thaw, open can of greens, drain most of the juice unless you like it and place into pan on med-high heat. Add your shrimp and Seasoning (NO SALT WAS USED IN THE MAKING OF THIS DISH) and cook for about 3 minutes until its all warmed though.

* You can use cooking spray though I recommend using a good tephlon or other good non-stick coated pan as I did.
