1 lb (6.5 cups) mushrooms, sliced
13 oz (2 cups) onion, coursely diced
5 tsp butter
2 T dark soy sauce (lower sodu\ium)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
8 oz dry, red wine
Uncover and simmer another 30-60 minutes depending on how much reduction you prefer.
2 lbs 8 oz, when reduced may end up being closer to 1 lb 8 oz. This makes each serving 2 ounces. With minimal reduction, each 3-ounces is one serving.
