Ham Hock & Bean Soup

Introduction

Simple Quick Soup to use up you Ham bone. Simple Quick Soup to use up you Ham bone.
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1 Ham Hock (approx 500g)
    Tap Water
    1 Tablespoon of Italian Seasoning
    1 cup of chopped onions
    1 cup of chopped carrots
    1 cup of chopped celery
    2 cloves of chopped garlic
    1 can (400g) of canned tomatoes
    1 can (400g) of canned beans
    Salt & Pepper to taste

Tips

Careful on the salt!


Directions

Place Ham Hock in a saucepan and just cover with water. Add a lid and simmer for 1 hours
Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for another hour without the lid
Remove the ham hock from the soup and strip the meat off the bone removing all the bones and fat.

Serving Size: Makes 4 Servings
