Almond Milk Green Smoothie

Introduction

This is what I start my day with since going vegan! It's filling and you can use whatever fruits you like! The chia seed makes it pack a punch and help fill you up all morning! This is what I start my day with since going vegan! It's filling and you can use whatever fruits you like! The chia seed makes it pack a punch and help fill you up all morning!
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    10 oz. unsweetened vanilla almond milk
    1 1/2 cups fresh leaf or baby spinach (a large handful)
    1 tblsp. chia seed
    1 tblsp. raw oats
    1 clementine or mandarin orange
    1 medium fresh pear
    3/4 cup or so frozen fruit (I used Dole Tropical in this one)

Tips

Can use cow's milk or any alternate milk. I use almond milk because I don't drink cow's milk anymore.


Directions

Add to blender, almond milk, fresh spinach, fresh fruits and oats. Blend till combined somewhat. Add frozen fruit and chia seed and blend or use ice chopper setting to blend all fruits smoothly. Enjoy!!

Serving Size: makes 1 generous serving or 2 large glasses
