Introduction

Creamy, restaurant style hummus Creamy, restaurant style hummus
Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    Sesame Seeds, .3 cup
    Olive Oil, 7 tsp
    Real Lemon 100% Lemon Juice, 16 tsp or 1/3 cup
    Garlic, 4 cloves or 2 tsps minced (prepared)
    Chickpeas (garbanzo beans), 2 cups - best if boiled from dry versus canned

Tips

Change the flavor by omitting garlic and substituting other flavors...red pepper, onion, jalapeno, etc.


Directions

Place sesame seeds in blender and blend with oil. Add lemon juice, garlic. Add beans in small batches until all are added. Add water. Add salt to taste or .5 tsp. Blend to desired consistency.



Serving Size: Makes 2 cups or 16 2 tbsp servings
