- 1.5 tsp dry yeast
- 520g bread flour
- 2 tsp salt
- 1.5 tbsp powdered milk
- 20g butter
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 360mL water
When breadmaker is done, preheat oven to 180C and grease loaf pan with melted butter.
Turn dough out onto a floured board and knead for a few minutes. Place into loaf pan and shape. Place loaf pan on top of stove where it is warm, cover with a teatowel or plastic wrap and allow to prove until doubled in size.
Optional: Brush top of loaf with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds on top (not included in nutritional calculations).
Place loaf pan in oven and cook until crust is desired colour/hardness and loaf sounds hollow when knocked.
Turn out onto wire rack and allow to cool. Store either wrapped in a teatowel or in a plastic bag once cooled. Keeps for several days.
Serving Size: Makes 16 equally-sized slices (spprox 1cm width)
