1 pound lean ham, diced
1 cup carrots, cut into small pieces
2 cups celery, sliced
1 small onion, chopped
4 large potatos, cut to 1/2 inch cubes
aprx. 8 cups water
2 cups milk ( I use 2% instead of skim to make it just a bit creamier)
salt and pepper to taste
This is delicious, I eat it just the way it is. The rest of the family likes to add grated cheese, green onions, crumbled bacon and sour cream.
