Soy-Braised Chicken

    1 (3-4 lb) chicken

    3 T dry sherry

    1.5 t sucralose

    1.5 cups chicken stock

    .75 cup soy sauce

    3 green onions, cut crosswise into 1-inch pieces

    1 garlic clove, crushed through a press


Place the chicken in a 3 1/2-to 4-quart slow cooker. Mix the sherry and sucralose in a cup and stir to dissolve the sucralose. Add to the cooker along with the broth, soy sauce, green onions, and garlic. Cover and cook until the chicken is cooked through, on low power 7-9 hours or on high power 3-4 hours.
