4 small _ripe_ pears (Forelle or Sechel)
4 oz dark chocolate
Meanwhile take pears, and core from bottom, leaving stem on top. Dip pears in melted chocolate, covering lower 1/2 to 2/3 evenly in chocolate. Place on parchment paper covered plate and chill in refrigerator for at least 15 minutes (up to 2 hours). When ready to serve, bring back to nearly room temperature. Serves 4.
