Ingredients

    Lentils, 1.5 cup
    Olive Oil, 1 tbsp
    *Cumin seed, 1 tsp
    Jalapeno Peppers, 1 pepper
    Turmeric, ground, 1 tsp
    Coriander seed, 1 tbsp
    Water, tap, 5 cup (8 fl oz)
    Salt, 1 tsp
    Onions, raw, .25 cup, chopped

Directions

Cook lentils in 3 cups of water for 20 minutes or until soft.
Add more water as needed while cooking the lentils.
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin, followed by turmeric and onions. fry onions golden brown, add jalapeno. Stir fry for a minute and add cooked lentils and salt. Bring it to a boil and simmer for 2minutes. Serve over white rice.
