Introduction


These are a family favorite, just a little crunch and chewy in the middle!

These are a family favorite, just a little crunch and chewy in the middle!

Number of Servings: 60

Ingredients

    1/2 cup margarine
    1/2 cup shortening
    1 1/2 cups sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    For rolling balls in:
    10 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix thoroughly the shortening, margarine, sugar and eggs. Mix dry ingredients in separate bowl and then stir into shortening mixture. Shape dough by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls.
Mix sugar and cinnamon and roll balls in the mixture. Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake for 7-8 minutes. (We like ours chewy in the center and that's 7 minutes.) Immediately remove from cookie sheet.

Serving Size: Makes about 5 dozen cookies
