2 tsp olive oil
1 cup onion(s), chopped
1 Tbsp minced garlic
3/4 pound uncooked lean ground beef (with 7% fat)
1 1/2 tsp fennel seed
1 28-oz can crushed tomatoes, fire-roasted recommended
2 c cherry tomatoes(optional)
1/4 tsp table salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp dried oregano
Transfer mixture to crockpot, adding in the crushed and cherry tomatoes. Cook on low for 8-10 hours.
Serve over whole wheat pasta.
