Cabbage Soup

Ingredients

    3 large cans chopped tomatoes not drained
    3 cans green beans not drained
    4 cups beef broth
    1 large onion chopped
    1 or more large carrots, chopped
    1/2 head chopped cabbage
    4-5 stock and leaves of celery

Directions

combine ingredients and cook until done. Add any other spices such as cayenne pepper or basil. Adjust for flavor desired. I think this makes about 20 1 cup servings.

  • This makes a ton and because it's so healthy, I can eat quite a bit! Nice for a day when calories are running short! I added 1/4 tsp of oregano, basil, and thyme and 1/8 tsp of cayenne pepper. Also, I tossed all the ingredients in a crockpot and let it cook all day! Easy! - 3/13/08
