Bolognaise Sauce

Ingredients

    -1 Package Lean Ground Beef (you can substitute ground turkey, but I like beef)

    -Trader Joe's diced onion, garlic, and shallot mix (entire container)

    -1 jar of your favorite marinara pasta sauce

    -Red bell peppers (or, do yellow, green, and red for color)

    -Black pepper to taste

    -Chili flakes, pepper flakes, more garlic to taste (this is where the fun experimentation comes in!)

    -Your favorite kind of pasta

Directions

Add a little olive oil to big frying pan. Bring to medium heat. Add diced onion, garlic, and shallot mix. Saute. Add the entire package of lean ground beef, cook until brown (I use medium high heat, but I'm no chef :) ) Add the entire jar of pasta sauce, the bell peppers, and stir. Bring down to a simmer, cover, and stir every now and then. You can let this simmer for a while (1-2 hours) before making the pasta or as little as 20 minutes. Make your pasta, and serve the sauce over the pasta. Yummy!

Serving Size: Sauce makes 6-8 servings, freezes / refrigerates well
